Thinking of a garden room? We know there are lots of frequently asked questions about Garden Structures that come to mind.
Here are a few of our Frequently Asked Questions about Garden Structures to give you a helping hand.
1. Do you need planning permission?
In certain circumstances you will need to obtain planning permission from the relevant authority. If your property is Grade 1 or Grade 2 listed, sited on restricted land or being used for commercial purposes then you will need to acquaint yourself with the relevant planning guidelines but in most circumstances, our structures fall within the guidelines for a typical garden summerhouse, greenhouse or shed (they are classed as temporary structures). Our sales team will be more than happy to advise you further and you can find out more here.
2. How secure is your garden structure?
Our Garden structures are built to be as secure and solid as possible and you just as you do with your home, you can add security measures as you see fit.
3. Can I have a Garden Structure if I don’t have side access?
Hopefully, yes! Usually, we can carry through your house but sometimes, depending on the layout, this can be tricky. We do find that friendly neighbours are often willing to help you on one occasion but the best thing is to contact us as every home is obviously different.
4. Does it need a foundation base?
Absolutely, yes, otherwise it won’t be stable. This is something we ask you to organise before we arrive to build your garden structure. If we arrive and you do not have a foundation we either won’t be able to build your garden structure or there may be additional costs for us to.
5. Can you use garden structures all year round?
Yes! Our garden structure are built to be used all year round and the internal BBQ gives you a brilliant heat source for those colder months.
